வாழ்த்துரை

தமிழ்மொழி மற்றும் இலக்கியத்திற்காக தமிழ்மொழி மற்றும் இலக்கிய பன்னாட்டு ஆய்விதழ் (IJTLLS) தம் இலக்கிய மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி அரும்பணியைச் செம்மையாக செய்து வருகின்றது.
உலகப் பண்பாட்டில் திருக்குறள் என்ற பொருண்மையில் பன்னாட்டுக் கருத்தரங்கம் நடத்தி இவ்ஆய்விதழ் வாயிலாக வெளிக்கொண்டு வர ஒப்புதல் அளித்த மதுரை காமராசர் பல்கலைக்கழக நிர்வாகம் மற்றும் தமிழ் துறைத் தலைவர்க்கு நன்றியினை உரித்தாக்குகிறோம். இப்பன்னாட்டுக் கருத்தரங்கத்தின் ஓர் அங்கமாக தமிழ்மொழி மற்றும் இலக்கிய பன்னாட்டு ஆய்விதழ் (IJTLLS) செம்மையாய் செயல்பட்டு ஆய்வுக் கட்டுரைகளை இணையத்தில் பதிப்பு செய்து உள்ளது. எதிர்காலத்தில் தமிழ் ஆராய்ச்சியை உலக அரங்கத்திற்கு எடுத்துச் செல்ல ஓர் ஆய்வுக்களமாக செயல்பட்டு வருகிறது.
பன்னாட்டுக் கருத்தரங்கில் தமது ஆய்வை செம்மை நிறுத்தி திருக்குறள் வழி தமிழ்மொழி தமிழர் நாகரிகம்ää தமிழர் பண்பாடு மற்றும் கலாச்சாரம் போன்ற பொருண்மையில் கிடைத்த தரவுகளைக் கட்டுரைகளாக வழங்கி சிறப்பித்த தமிழ் பேராசிரியர்கள் ஏனைய அனைத்து துறைப் பேராசிரியர்கள் எழுத்தாளர்கள்ää தமிழ் ஆர்வலர்கள் மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி மாணவர்களை மனதார பாராட்டுகிறோம்.

Prosody (Thodainayam) and Cinema Songs

Abstract

In Tamil Literature, the work, “Yapparungkarikai” scores its highest place in the line of grammar books of Tamil Language. It deals with the linguistic elements of Tamil Grammar. The segmental devices of the linguistic forms are measured through leveled calculation in Tamil Language. ‘Thodainayam’ nearly called in English as ‘Prosody’ is the vital one in use to bring down good rhetoric. Most of the Tamil cinema songs are naturally embedded with such rhetoric elements. Hence, the aim of the research article fosters to decipher the cineme songs embedded with the perfect Tamil prosody.

Abstract

The novel “Agnaadi” is relatively a fiction, normally written in prose form. the events are accommodated to the ordinary train of human events and the modern state of 19 C society. Folklore is another form which depicts the way characters manage to talk about their everyday life events, including conflicts or crises. In Simple, folk literature is about individual experiences of a particular society. The main purpose of folklore is to convey a moral lesson and present useful information. In the modern academic world, folklores are studied to understand ancient literature and civilization.

Parathavar Community in Tamil Literature

Abstract

The Parathavar are one of the ancient tribes who lives aside the sea shores of Tamil Nadu’s coast line. Parathavar are also known as Paravar or Bharathar. This community has been mentioned in Tamil Sangam Literature texts. They were maritime inhabintants of the littoral Sangam landscape known as ‘Neithal’, who were involved in fishing, harvesting of pearl oyisters, chank, and matrime trades. Works in the Tamil Sangam literature which refer to the lives of Parathar include are Ettuthokai, Pathupattu, Ahanannru, Nattrinai, Kurunthogai. This article explains how these ethnic people are mentioned in the ancient Tamil Literature.

Marginalization Novels and its Approaches in Dr. Sreekumar’s Research Perspective

Abstract

Literature is born from society. Literature ad society are inseparable and society by literature have grown together. Writers of literature have penned the agonizing life of the economically oppressed people. Among them Rajam Krishnan, Poomani and Sridhara Ganesan are remarkable writers. This is the contemporary scenario where marginalization has been spoken and written widely. It was Dr.Sreekumar, who has developed this concept even before the advent of this concept marginalization. He explored the fictional narratives of Poomani’s Pirahu and Sridhara Ganesan’s Vuppu Vayal. The main aim of using Dr.Sreekumar’s perspective is to highlight how both the novelists successfully documented the problems of the marginalized people to the society.

Lifestyle of Kurinjithinai Society Visualized by Kurunthogai

Abstract

The term ilakkiyam (literature) refers to an art of presenting the most valuable information through well organized collection of words, expressed a language.The unerradicated Tamil literature that are found till-date serves as a portal of knowledge for today's world to experience the culture, behavior and heritage of the ancient Tamil civilization. Among those, there exists the poetic presentation, “Kurunthogai”, which is the subsection of the books “Yettuthogai” and “Pathupattu” of Sangam Literature, which is well known for its uniqueness in detailing the vision of the scope with its short but valuable verses. The poetic work with its unique way of representation brings forth the information on the nature-bounded lifestyle that had been practiced by the ancient sangam civilization. The sangam civilization is known to have lead a principle of "Thinai Nilai" society, in which the people reside in the forests, farm lands and sea shores. Such lifestyles can be seen described in Kurunthogai. Every poem of Kurunthogai projects the sangam civilization's way of living in terms of friendship, love, Chasity, family life, culture, economy and social developments. Among which, this presentation aims to extract and expose the principles of people of Kurinji Thinai in terms of their worships, relationship status and women's honor.

Arts in Thirukkural

Abstract

“Thirukkural” is a precious gem among the classics, unique in the deliverance of code of conduct to the mankind to follow for all time to come. It enshrines in it 1330 couplets under 133 chapters, each chapter comprising of 10 verses. The chapters again fall under three major divisions as ‘virtue’, ‘wealth’ and ‘love’. The treatise encompasses the whole gamut of human life and by Thiruvalluvar, its illustrious author illuminates every bit of it. In fact, the ethical element in Kural has been over emphasized. Valluvar deserves to be better known as an encyclopedia of human ethics as a great poet and as one who has also sung of the militant life of the Tamil who considered it a great honour to die in battle field. Hence, this article focuses to bring down Arts as evinced in “Thirukkural”.

Revolutions against Oppression shown in the Novel “Eri Neruppil Idai Pathai Illai”

Abstract

“Eri Neruppil Idai Pathai Illai” is a novel written by the Lankan Tamil S. Agasthiyar. The novel deals with the trauma between the high class and the low class people of the people at Yalpanam of Sri Lanka. It deals with the oppression pressured upon the poor people by the upper class people. The, it explains about the utterly suppressed people by caste chauvinism and partiality; continuing with the upraise of the suffered people and the loss fall on them are clearly explained in the article. Hence, the novel decodes the situation of the people in a pathetic manner.

Ayavi (White Mustard)

Abstract

Sangam Literature is as vast as an ocean. It reflects the seamless and stainless Tamil society with its multifaceted aspects. The present paper focuses on the uses of white mustard which plays a vital role in Sangam Literature. White mustard, besides being a cooking ingredient, acts as a major medicinal spice. The origin of white mustard is said to be the Great Himalayas. The importance of white mustard has been sung by various Tamil poets in Sangam Literature including Maduraikanchi, Thirumurugaatrupadai, Puranaanooru, Manimekalai and Nedunalvaadai. There is also a superstitious belief associated with white mustard. People blindly believe that the smoke evolved by burning white mustard seeds chases away the evil spirits and purifies the environment. There may be some scientific reasons behind this belief. The paper accentuates how white mustard has played an important part in Sangam Literature.

Food in “Perumpanattupadai”

Abstract

“Perumpanattupadai” the Sangam Literature brings out the food habits of the people who lived during that age. Ayittiyar used to eat rye with dried fish. Saline water was used for cooking purposes. Ayinar used to eat parboiled rice with monitor lizard meat. Millet mixed with dal was also eaten. Farmers used to eat white rice with chicken fry. They also consumed sugarcane juice and liquos with fish curry. Brahmins used to eat cereal grain with pomegranate and tender mango pickle. Inhabitants of neithal land (seashore) used to eat boar meat. Farmers also used to eat Jackfruit, Tender coconut, bananas, palm fruits and cassava. Hence, the article tries to bring down the facts related to it.

Pavanar’s Patriotism for Individual Tamil

The research article fosters the ideology of Pavanar and his concept on the antiqueness of the Classic Tamil Language. He evinces that Tamil is the mother of all South Indian languages. He points out it is also the root for Aryan and all South Indian Dravidian Languages. His emphasis shows the classic quality of Tamil Language. To know th supreme state of the Tamil Language, applying Linguistic perspectives are very vital. While emphasizing the classic root of Tamil on other Dravidian Languages, it becomes imperative to know evidently about the origin of Tamil Language. Hence, the article probes with Pavanar’s ideas to elicit the classic status of it.
